Jasmin completed her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) where she received a Dean’s list award for academic excellence in her cohort. Her research focussed on computational approaches to band gap engineering in graphene nanoribbons in which she received the top grade in her cohort. Her journey continued at QMUL through her Master’s in Chemical Research in which she underwent a project on graphene Fabry-Perot Interferometry (FPI) that was based on post-fabrication interface-engineering of graphene devices. Her DPhil project aims to develop nanolayer materials for electrochemical ionic synapses in neuromorphic computing. Jasmin is a traditional fine artist and explores the intersection between art, science and philosophy through reading and creating, both inside and outside of the lab.
