Jay Botham (she/her) is a DPhil student focused on developing encapsulants for perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells to improve their stability and protect against moisture-induced degradation. Jay previously studied Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering at McMaster University in Canada. During her undergraduate degree, she conducted research ranging from synthesizing materials for ion exchange membranes to testing recycled concrete created using microbially induced calcium carbonate precipitation. In her free time, Jay enjoys the outdoors through camping, hiking, running, and cycling.
