Group attends the 18th PVSAT conference, Glasgow, UK

The Photovoltaics Science, Applications and Technology Conference - PVSAT-2024 is a 2.5-day event, each year taking place at a different location in the UK, with the 18th iteration is hosted by University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. It is the UK’s premier scientific event for solar photovoltaics (PV) where the latest advances in research and development are presented and discussed. PVSAT conferences address all PV technologies including crystalline silicon, inorganic thin film, multi-junction concentrators, perovskites and emerging organic and hybrid cells, together with installation, performance monitoring, durability and energy and environmental impacts. The conference includes an industry exhibition and the programme features talks by several invited speakers from world-leading institutions in PV. Join us to learn about and contribute to recent advances in photovoltaic research and development whilst connecting with the vibrant UK solar energy community.

At the conference, we presented:

Charged-Up Solar Cells: The Role of Interface Electric Fields in Photovoltaic Devices Invited Oral Sebastian Bonilla
Self-Aligned Laser Opening and Stencil Metallisation for Silver-Free Contacts in Silicon Solar Cells Oral Yuelin Xiong
Multiphysics Modelling for the Design of >35% Efficient Perovskite-on-Silicon Tandem Solar Cells Oral James Macqueen, Winner of the 1st place Best Talk award.
Characterisation of Solar Cell Interfaces using Elastic Recoil Detection Analysis Oral Matthew Wright
Impact of Surface Electric Fields on Light Soaking Enhancements in SHJ Solar Cells Oral Donghao Liu, (presented by Matt)

Below are some memories from our time in Glasgow.
