Theo is a postdoctoral research associate based in the Electronic and Interface Materials Laboratory, studying perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. He completed his PhD in 2020 at the University of Liverpool, where he studied the inorganic chalcogenide semiconductors CZTS and antimony selenide for use in photovoltaic solar cells.
From 2020-23, Theo investigated new designs for cadmium telluride solar cells as part of an EPSRC-funded project based in the Department of Physics at the University of Liverpool. From 2023-24 Theo joined the Horizon 2020 project ‘BIG-MAP’, developing an open-source software platform to automate a process of electrode encapsulation for Li-ion batteries.
Theo’s published works cover a range of materials for photovoltaic solar cells, with a focus upon fundamental structural and electronic characterisation relevant to device performance.
